Suppose that \(k\) is a field of characteristic zero. Consider an associative \(k\)-algebra \(A\) generated by elements \(x_1,\ldots,x_n,\hbar\) subject to defining relations \[ \hbar x_i=x_i\hbar,\qquad x_ix_j-x_jx_i=\varphi_{ij},\quad i<j, \] where \(\varphi_{ij}\in\langle\hbar u_{ij}\rangle\) and \(u_{ij}\in A\) has degree at most 2 in \(x_1,\ldots,x_n\). The algebra \(A\) admits a filtration \(F\) with respect to total degree in \(x_1,\ldots,x_n\). It also admits a filtration \(\Gamma\) with respect to powers of \(\hbar\). The main result gives necessary conditions under which the associative graded algebra for \(\Gamma\) is a polynomial algebra in \(x_1,\ldots,x_n,\hbar\). This result is motivated by the paper of \textit{V. G. Drinfel'd} [Sel. Math. Sov. 11, No. 4, 317-326 (1992); translation from Mathematical physics, functional analysis, Collect. Sci. Works, Kiev 1986, 25-34 (1986; Zbl 0674.58044)]. There are given several applications and examples of the situation considered. In particular there is given a new proof of results by P. Etingof and V. Ginzburg on algebras with a cyclic non-commutative potential in three variables.
