This paper deals with a Dirichlet problem for an elliptic partial differential equation with constant coefficients. A difference scheme of second-order accuracy is taken for the first approximation. Then the authors use this approximation to construct a correction term for the right-side of the difference equation. By using the method for the derivation of compatible estimates, the authors show the convergence of the corrected difference scheme in the discrete \(L_2(\omega)\) norm.
