The main purpose of this paper is to generalize previous construction of non-Kähler compact manifolds. Let \({\mathbf K}\) be a number field with \(s>0\) (resp. \(2t>0\)) real (resp. complex) imbeddings. Then there exists (Theorem 1.1) a suitable rank \(b\) subgroup \(W\), with \(1\leq b\leq s\) and an infinite fan \(\Delta'\) stable under the action of \(W\) (Theorem 1.19). By selecting a suitable fan \(\Delta\) and considering its associated toric manifold \(X_\Delta\) such that some closed subgroup \(H\) of \((\mathbb{C}^*)^n\) acts freely and properly on it (Lemma 2.1), where \(n= s+ 2t\), the authors show that the action of \(W\) on the manifold \(X_\Delta\) descends to an action on \(X:= X_\Delta/H\) (Lemma 2.2). Then by selecting an open subset \(U\) of \(X\) on which the action of \(W\) is free and properly discontinuous with a compact fundamental domain; hence \(Y:= U/W\) is a complex manifold which is compact (p.213). Also it is shown that the Kodaira dimension of \(Y\) is \(-\infty\) and its algebraic dimension \(=0\). For various values of \(b\), the authors recover previous known constructions.
