    By using generalized weighted mean matrices \(\left( u_{n}v_{k}\right) _{n,k\in\mathbb{N}}\) and generalized difference matrices \(B=\left( b_{nk}\right) _{n,k\in\mathbb{N}}\), where \(b_{nk}:=r\) for \(k=n\), \(b_{nk}:=s\) for \(k=n-1\), and \(b_{nk}:=0\) otherwise, the author introduces paranormed sequence spaces \(\mu\left( u,v,p;B\right) \) for \(\mu\in\left\{ \ell ^{\infty},c,c_{0}\right\} \) and \(p=\left( p_{k}\right) \). For example, \(\left( x_{k}\right) \in\ell^{\infty}\left( u,v,p;B\right) \) if and only if \[ \sup_{n\in\mathbb{N}}\left| u_{n}\sum_{k=0}^{n}v_{k}\left( rx_{k}+sx_{k-1}\right) \right| ^{p_{k}}<\infty. \] Topological properties, inclusion relations, \(\alpha\)-, \(\beta\)- and \(\gamma\)-duals are discussed, matrix operators on these spaces are described, and the compactness of such operators is characterized.
