The author considers a class of metric spaces called hyperconvex or injective. He describes two cases in which gluing such metric spaces yields again a hyperconvex metric space. The first case is gluing along strongly convex subsets. The second one is gluing along externally hyperconvex subsets. The author also compares the two cases in an example and shows that these cases can not be combined.
