Let \(L\) be an ample line bundle over a compact complex manifold \(M\) of dimension \(m\), \(h\) be a Hermitian metric on \(L\) with positive curvature \(\Theta_h\), and consider the Kähler form \(\omega=\frac{i}{2}\,\Theta_h\) on \(M\). The metrics \(h,\,\omega\) induce a natural inner product on the space \(H^0(M,L^N)\) of global holomorphic sections of \(L^N:=L^{\otimes N}\). The Bergman kernel \(K_N(z,w)\) of \(H^0(M,L^N)\) is the kernel of the orthogonal projection from the space of \({\mathcal L}^2\) sections of \(L^N\) onto \(H^0(M,L^N)\). If \(X\) is the unit circle bundle of the dual line bundle \((L^*,h^*)\) of \((L,h)\) then it is well known that sections \(s\in H^0(M,L^N)\) lift to CR-functions \(\hat s\) on \(X\) verifying \(\hat s(e^{i\theta}x)=e^{iN\theta}\hat s(x)\). Let \({\mathcal H}^2_N(X)\) be the space of such CR-functions. Then the Bergman kernel \(K_N(z,w)\) of \(H^0(M,L^N)\) lifts to the Szegő kernel \(\Pi_N(x,y)\) of the orthogonal projection \({\mathcal L}^2(X)\longrightarrow{\mathcal H}^2_N(X)\), where the inner product is induced by the one on \(H^0(M,L^N)\). The off-diagonal asymptotic expansion of the scaled Szegő kernel \(N^{-m}\Pi_N\left(\frac{x}{\sqrt N}\,,\frac{y}{\sqrt N}\right)\) was proved by \textit{B. Shiffman} and \textit{S. Zelditch} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 544, 181--222 (2002; Zbl 1007.53058)]. The paper under review gives a description of the coefficients \(b_r\) of this expansion as polynomials in the K-coordinates and the covariant derivatives of the curvature. Moreover, the coefficients \(b_1,\ldots,b_4\) are computed explicitly.
