Convolution of quadratic Bézier curves having different sign of curvature is studied (cf. [\textit{I.-K. Lee, M.-S. Kim} and \textit{G. Elber}, ``Polynomial/rational approximation of Minkowski sum boundary curves'', Graph. Models Image Process. 60, 136--165 (1998)]). The authors characterize all cases of global shapes of the convolution curve using only the ratios of lengths of the corresponding polygons of two compatible quadratic Bézier curves. Geometric properties of the global shape of the convolution curve are presented for special cases. An extension of the local geometric property to any degree \(n\), is also presented. The results for quadratic Bézier curves in this paper are improvements of those given in the thesis by \textit{R. Lee} [A study on convolution of compatible quadratic Bézier curves and quadratic approximation. Chosun University (Master thesis) (2013)].
