The authors discuss an axially symmetric layered structure. The interior domain contains a viscous fluid governed by the Navier-Stokes equations. The thin coated layer is modeled by the 1D wave equation. The thick exterior layer is modeled by the elastic equations. The thin layer is described by an unknown curve \(\Gamma(t)\) depending on time. The boundary conditions between the layers yield conditions to determine \(\Gamma(t)\). The existence of the weak solution is proved by the energy estimations. An approximate method to solve the problem is proposed.
