This paper deals with nonconvex vector optimization problems in reflexive Banach spaces. After giving some preliminaries in Section 2, the core section starts with a characterization of ideal points of a given set (Theorem 3) and presents then a necessary condition for minimal points of sets in Banach spaces partially ordered by a Bishop-Phelps cone (Theorem 4). Then a characterization theorem for properly minimal elements of a set in reflexive Banach spaces is given (Theorem 5). Moreover, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of properly minimal points is presented (Theorem 6). However, the necessity of the condition is only proven for the case of a finite-dimensional space. The paper finishes with two examples.
