The main purpose of this paper is to find the solutions of the functional equation \[ \sum_{\lambda\in K}f(x+\lambda y)=|K|g(x)+\alpha(x)h(y), \] for all \(x,y\in G\), where \(f,g,h:G\to X\), \(\alpha:G\to \mathbb{K}\), \((G,+)\) is an abelian group, \(K\) is a finite, abelian subgroup of the automorphism group of \(G\), \(X\) is a linear space over the field \(\mathbb{K}\in \{\mathbb{R},\mathbb{C}\}\). The authors find these solutions under the assumption \(\sum_{\lambda\in K}f\circ\lambda\neq\mathrm{const}\), \(\sum_{\lambda\in K}\alpha \circ\lambda\neq\mathrm{const}\), \(\alpha(0)\neq 0\), and they are some combinations of multiplicative and multi-additive functions.
