    Let \(S\) be a commutative semigroup, \(\mathbb{C}\) the set of complex numbers, \(\mathbb{R}^{+}\) the set of nonnegative real numbers, \(f, g : S \to \mathbb{C}\) functions and \(\sigma : S \to S\) an involution. The main purpose of the article is to consider the stability of Wilson's functional equations with involution, namely equations \[ f (x + y) + f (x + \sigma y) = 2f(x)g(y) \qquad \left(x, y\in S\right) \] and \[ f (x + y) + f (x + \sigma y) = 2g(x)f(y) \qquad \left(x, y\in S\right) \] in the spirit of Roman Badora and Roman Ger. As a consequence of the main result, some stability type theorems are also obtained. One of the main results of the paper reads as follows (see Theorem 2.2 in the article). Let \(f, g : S \to \mathbb{C}\) satisfy the functional inequality \[ \left|f (x+y)+f (x+\sigma y)-2f(x)g(y)\right| \leq \varphi(y) \] for all \(x, y \in S\). Then, if \(f\) is bounded, \(g\) satisfies \[ \left|g(y)\right| \leq 1 +\dfrac{\varphi(y)}{2M} \qquad \left(y\in S\right), \] where \(M = \sup_{x\in S} \left|f (x)\right|\), and if \(f\) is unbounded, \(g\) has the form \[ g(x) =\dfrac{m(x) + m(\sigma x)}{2} \qquad \left(x\in S\right). \] Assume that there exists a sequence \((z_{n})_{n\in \mathbb{N}}\) in \(S\) satisfying \[ \dfrac{\left|g(z_n )\right|}{1+\varphi(z_{n})}\to \infty \] as \(n \to \infty\). Then, if \(m \neq m \circ \sigma\), \(f\) has the form \[ f (x) = \alpha_{1}m(x) + \alpha_{2} m(\sigma x) \qquad (x\in S), \] where \(\alpha_{1}, \alpha_{2}\in \mathbb{C}\), and if \(m = m \circ \sigma\) and \(S\) is \(2\)-divisible, \(f\) has the form \[ f(x)= \begin{cases} m(x)(\beta +a(x)-a(\sigma x)), & x\in S\setminus K\\ 0, & x\in K, \end{cases} \] where \(K=\left\{x\in S\mid m(x)=0\right\}\) and \(a: S\setminus K\to \mathbb{C}\) is an additive function and \(\beta \in \mathbb{C}\). A similar result for the second equation can be found in Theorem 2.4. The third section contains some applications of the main results.
