If we start with the axioms for an absolute plane and then drop the group of axioms on continuity, then we get what is known as a general absolute plane. A quasi-end in an absolute plane is a pencil determined by two lines which neither intersect nor have a common perpendicular. Several methods have been developed to classify general absolute planes. In this paper, the authors use the notion of quasi-ends to classify general absolute planes. In particular, the authors start by giving a well written historical background on the subject of absolute planes, and then use the fact that the number of quasi-ends which are incident with a specific line in a general absolute plane is the same for all lines in the given absolute plane to give a classification of all general absolute planes.
