The authors investigate the existence of positive solutions to the discrete second-order Dirichlet boundary value problem \[ \begin{cases} \Delta^2u(k-1)+f(k,u(k),v(k))=0, \\ \Delta^2v(k-1)+g(k,u(k),v(k))=0,\;k=1,\dots,T\in {\mathbb N} \\ u(0)=U(T+1)=v(0)=v(T+1). \end{cases} \tag{1} \] Conditions on the functions \(f,g\) are given which guarantee that (1) has at least one positive solution. The principal method used in the paper is the application of the Krasnoselskii-Zebreiko fixed point theorem in ordered Banach spaces combined with some results of the convex analysis in finite-dimensional spaces.
