An integral quadratic polynomial with positive definite quadratic part is said to be almost universal if it represents all but finitely many positive integers. It is a well-known consequence of the Hilbert reciprocity law that there are no homogeneous ternary quadratic polynomials with this property. In the paper under review, the author provides a characterization of almost universal ternary inhomogeneous quadratic polynomials with conductor \(2\). The case of polynomials with odd prime power conductor was considered in a previous paper of the author [J. Number Theory 141, 202--213 (2014; Zbl 1302.11012)].
