The authors propose a new method to obtain upper bounds for the irrationality exponent \(\mu(\,.\,)\) of certain classical constants from analysis. At the heart of this method is a combination of the idea of symmetrized integrals, introduced by the second-named author [\textit{V. Kh. Salikhov}, Dokl. Math. 76, No. 3, 955--957 (2007); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 417, No. 6, 753--755 (2007; Zbl 1169.11032)], and the approach of \textit{R. Marcovecchio} [Acta Arith. 139, No. 2, 147--184 (2009; Zbl 1197.11083)] integral construction. No application is given in the present article. But it ends by the announcement of \(\mu(\pi/\sqrt{3})\leq4.23046...\) to be explained in a future paper by the first-named author. This bound will improve on \textit{M. Hata}'s [Acta Arith. 63, No. 4, 335--349 (1993; Zbl 0776.11033)] earlier result \(\mu(\pi/\sqrt{3})\leq4.601579\ldots\) and its small improvement \(\mu(\pi/\sqrt{3})\leq4.601057\ldots\) due to the present authors [Vestnik Bryansk State Tech. Univ. 34, 129--132 (2011)] in an inter-scientific local journal.
