First of all the title of the paper is misleading, maybe due to translation. The author investigates finite groups in which a Sylow 3-subgroup is normalized by a Sylow \(s\)-subgroup, \(s>3\). He gives an overview over the nonabelian composition factors. The generic ones are groups of Lie type in characteristic 3 such that \(s\) divides the order of a Cartan subgroup but not the order of the Weyl group. Besides this the groups \(L_n(q)\), \(U_n(q)\), \(n\leq 5\), \(PSp_4(q)\) and \(^2F_4(q)\) for various congruences of \(q\) arise, and finally \(J_1\) and \(O'N\). Obviously the paper mainly concerns simple groups. For the sporadic groups, the alternating groups and the groups of Lie type in characteristic 3 it is more or less a quotation of a result due to \textit{F. Gross} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 52, 464-494 (1986; Zbl 0559.20014)]. For the cross characteristic case the author quotes the work of \textit{M. W. Liebeck} and \textit{J. Saxl} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 55, 299-330 (1987; Zbl 0627.20026)] to show that a Hall \(\{3,s\}\)-subgroup has to be nilpotent and then the work of \textit{E. P. Vdovin} and \textit{D. O. Revin} [Russ. Math. Surv. 66, No. 5, 829-870 (2011); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk. 66, No. 3, 3-46 (2011; Zbl 1243.20027); Algebra Logika 41, No. 1, 15-56 (2002; Zbl 1016.20011); translation in Algebra Logic 41, No. 1, 8-29 (2002)]. Unfortunately the reviewer was not able to find the quotation in the paper of Liebeck/Saxl. This paper is concerned with exceptional groups, while in the paper under review it is used for all groups of Lie type. Furthermore it determines maximal subgroups and does not deal with Hall subgroups. As there is no theorem 1 in this paper, probably the author quotes some other paper, which in the course of translation disappeared. The reviewer found no obvious substitute.
