The main result of this paper is the following: Let \(\Gamma\) be a strongly regular graph with parameters (392, 115, 18, 40), \(G=\operatorname{Aut}(\Gamma)\) , \(g\) be an element of prime order \(p\) from \(G\), and \(\Omega=\operatorname{Fix}(g)\). Then, \(|G|\) divides \(8 \cdot 7 \cdot 23\) and one of the following assertions holds: (1) \(\Omega\) is an empty graph and either \(p=2\) and \(\alpha _{1}(g)=56r\) or \(p=7\) and \(\alpha _{1}(g)=140\). (2) \(|\Omega|=1\), \(p=23\), and \(\alpha _{1}(g)=115\).
