Let \(\mathcal{A}^{*}\) be the \(\mathbb{Z}/2\)-equivariant Steenrod algebra and \(\mathcal{A}_{*}\) its dual (see [\textit{P. Hu} and \textit{I. Kriz}, Topology 40, No. 2, 317--399 (2001; Zbl 0967.55010)]). The aim of this paper is to study subalgebras of \(\mathcal{A}^{*}\) (see [\textit{J. F. Adams} and \textit{H. R. Margolis}, Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 76, 45--52 (1974; Zbl 0283.55012)] for the classical case). The author characterizes families of sub-Hopf-algebroids of \(\mathcal{A}_{*}\), showing how to adapt classical methods to the equivariant case. He exhibits some particular sub-Hopf algebra of \(\mathcal{A}^{*}\) corresponding to the non-equivariant \(A(n)\) and \(\mathcal{E}(n)\) see [loc. cit.] and he gives some of their properties.
