The author considers the equation \[ \frac{d}{dt}[y(t)-(E_1y)(t)]=(E_0y)(t)\quad (t>0)\eqno(1) \] with the initial condition \(y(t)=\phi(t)\), \(-\eta\leq t\leq 0\), for a given \(\phi\in C^1(-\eta,0)\). He considers also the non-homogeneous equation \[ \frac{d}{dt}[x(t)-(E_1x)(t)]=(E_0x)(t)+f(t)\quad (t>0)\eqno(2) \] with a given vector-function \(f\in L^p(0,\infty)\) and the initial condition \[ x(t)\equiv 0\text{ for} -\eta\leq t\leq 0.\eqno(3) \] It is proved that equation (1) is exponentially stable provided the corresponding non-homogeneous equation (2) with the initial condition (3) and arbitrary free term \(f\in L^p([0,\infty),\mathbb C^n)\) has a solution belonging to \( L^p([0,\infty),\mathbb C^n)\).
