Given a Riemannian manifold \(X,\) set \(\mathcal{L}\) for the Laplace-Beltrami operator over \(X.\) The paper under review deals with the non-Euclidean analog of the generalized Darboux equation \[ \mathcal{L}_x\big(f(x,y)\big)= \mathcal{L}_y\big(f(x,y)\big) \] with \(f\in C^2(X\times X),\) when \(X\) is the Lobachevskii plane. In the case of radially symmetric -- in the second variable -- solutions, the authors derive a uniqueness result which deals with zero sets of these solutions. Moreover, it is shown that the uniqueness result is sharp.
