The authors study a supercritical branching random walk on the real line assuming that the jumps of the particles have regularly varying distribution with exponent \(\alpha>0\). They show that after dividing the positions of all particles at time \(n\) by a suitable normalizing sequence \(b_n\), the resulting point process converges weakly as \(n\to\infty\) to a Cox cluster process.
