Results on coincidence and common fixed points for \((\psi,\varphi)_g\)-generalized weakly contractive mappings in ordered metric spaces (Q2358220)

Summary: Inspired by a metrical-fixed point theorem from [\textit{B. S. Choudhury} et al., Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 74, No. 6, 2116--2126 (2011; Zbl 1218.54036)], we prove some order-theoretic results which generalize several core results of the existing literature, especially the two main results of \textit{J. Harjani} and \textit{K. Sadarangani} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 71, No. 7--8, 3403--3410 (2009; Zbl 1221.54058); Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 72, No. 3--4, 1188--1197 (2010; Zbl 1220.54025)]. We demonstrate the realized improvement obtained in our results by using a suitable example. As an application, we also prove a result for mappings satisfying integral type \((\psi,\varphi)_g\)-generalized weakly contractive conditions.
