The following singularly perturbed integral equation is considered \[ \varepsilon^{m+1}y(t,\varepsilon)=\int\limits_{0}^{t}(t-s)^m\sum\limits_{j=0}^{m}K_j(t,s)\varepsilon^j y^{(j)}(s,\varepsilon)ds+h(t), \quad t\in[0,T], \] with a diagonal kernel degeneration of order \(m\geq 2\). Here \(\varepsilon>0\) is a small parameter and \(h(t)\in C^{\infty}[0,T]\), \(K_j(t,s)\in C^{\infty}\) (\(0\leq s\leq t\leq T\)), \(j=0,1,\dots,m\). An algorithm of the regularization method for such equations is suggested and the leading term of the asymptotic solutions is analysed to solve the problem of initialization.
