The authors consider the 3-dimensional axisymmetric magneto-hydrodynamics equations with only vertical viscosity in velocity equation and without magnetic diffusion. Under the assumptions that the initial velocity field is axisymmetric without swirl and the initial magnetic field is axisymmetic only with swirl, the authors showed that there exists uniquely a global-in-time smooth solution to 3-dimensional axisymmetric magneto-hydrodynamics equations.
