Here the author studies ``mixed series'' in ordinary Laguerre polynomials as well as in orthogonal polynomials arising from the Sobolev type inner product \[ \langle f,g\rangle=\sum_{\nu=0}^{r-1}\,f^{(\nu)}(0)g^{(\nu)}(0)+\int_0^{\infty}\,f^{(r)}(t)g^{(r)}(t)t^{\alpha} e^{-t}dt. \] The main results are: Theorem 2: Completeness of the system \(\{{t^k\over k!}\;(0\leq k\leq r-1),\;L^{-r}(t)\;(k\geq r)\}\). Theorem 3: Uniform convergence of mixed Fourier series of functions \(f\in W^r[0,\infty)\) (functions \((r-1)\)-times continuously differentiable on the half axis, \(f^{(r-1)}(t)\) absolutely continuous on every segment \([a,b]\subset [0,\infty)\) and \(\int_0^{\infty}\,|f^{(r)}(t)|^2e^{-t}dt< \infty\)). \vskip0.3cm Furthermore, in Theorem 4, the Lebesgue inequality for partial sums of special series in Laguerre polynomials is given. The intricate proof uses 15 pages of the total of 25 of the paper.
