The author constructs attracting cycles for Halley and Schröder maps. For a given polynomial \(p\), the Halley map and the Schröder map associated with \(p\) are given by the following rational functions, respectively, \[ H_p(z)=z-\frac{2p(z)p'(z)}{2(p'(z))^2-p(z)p''(z)}\quad\text{and}\quad S_p(z)=z-\frac{p(z)}{p'(z)}-\frac{p(z)^2p''(z)}{2(p'(z))^3}. \] Let \(\Omega=\{z_1, z_2,\dots, z_n\}\) be any \(n\) distinct points in the complex plane, \(n\geq2\). The author proves that there exists a polynomial \(p\) of degree at most \(n+1\) so that the corresponding Halley and Schröder maps for \(p\) have the given points as a super-attracting cycle. Furthermore, the \(n+1\) degree estimate is sharp. These results are improvements for the results in [\textit{S. Amat} et al., J. Comput. Appl. Math. 189, No. 1--2, 22--33 (2006; Zbl 1113.65047)]. The methods of proofs are basically given in [\textit{J. T. Campbell} and \textit{J. T. Collins}, J. Difference Equ. Appl. 19, No. 8, 1361--1379 (2013; Zbl 1283.30060)].
