The authors are concerned with Aitken's convergence acceleration method for the prediction of the unknown terms of the sequence \((\langle x, A^k x \rangle, k \in Z)\), where \(A\) is a symmetric and positive definite matrix. They derive direct estimates of low complexity and approximate quadratic forms \((\langle x, A^k x \rangle, k \in Z)\) and more general bilinear expressions of the form \((\langle y, A^k x\rangle, k \in Z)\).
