This paper is devoted to the approximation with a phase-field model of inhomomogeneous multiphase perimeters. The derivation of the phase-field model is based on suitable decompositions of perimeters under some embeddability condition which allows not only an explicit derivation of the model from the surface tensions, but also gives rise to a \(\Gamma\)-convergence result. In the strict \(l^1\)-embeddability case, the proof of the \(\Gamma\)-convergence of the approximating model to the multiphase perimeter is presented. Some extentions to incorporate additional constraints of volume and partial phase stationarity, in particular for the evolution of multi-droplets, are given. Some numerical experiments to illustrate the behavior of the model in 2D and 3D are presented.
