A simplicial approach to multiplier bimonoids (Q2364661)

The notion of a multiplier bimonoid in a braided monoidal category \(\mathcal C\) was introduced by the authors in [J. Algebra 423, 853--889 (2015; Zbl 1348.16026)], generalizing the notion of multiplier bialgebras. In this paper, a simplicial set \(M_{12}\) is constructed, and a bijection between multiplier bimonoids and simplicial maps \(C\to M_{12}\), where \(C\) is the Catatan simplicial set [\textit{M. Buckley} et al., ``The Catalan simplicial set'', Math. Proc. Camb. Phi. Soc. 158, 211--222 (2015)], is shown. The authors also consider regular multiplier bimonoids in \(\mathcal C\), these are also in bijection with simplicial maps between \(C\) and a suitable simplicial set.
