Let \(G(m,n)\) denote the generalized symmetric group, that is, the wreath product of the cyclic group of order \(m\) by the symmetric group on \(n\) elements. The study of the irreducible representations of \(G(m,n)\) goes back to Young and Frobenius in the previous century. Since then, many authors have given various constructions for the irreducible representations of these groups. See for instance \textit{G. James} and \textit{A. Kerber} [The representation theory of the symmetric group (Encycl. Math. Appl. 16, 1981; Zbl 0491.20010)]. This author extends the results of Specht on \(G(1,n)\) to \(G(m,n)\), thus giving a Specht module construction for a complete set of irreducible representations of \(G(m,n)\).
