A half-ordering of a field \(\mathbb F\) is a subgroup of index two of the multiplicative group of \(\mathbb F\). \textit{J. Jakóbowsky} [Zesz. Nauk., Geom. 20, 13-21 (1993; Zbl 0807.51005)] has constructed a class of Minkowski planes by using two order preserving functions \(f, g: \overline{\mathbb F} \to \overline{\mathbb F}\) satisfying certain suitable axioms. In the paper under review the author gives a group theoretic construction of these planes. Furthermore, he determines all isomorphisms between and automorphisms of these planes. It turns out that the automorphism group usually is very small and in some cases it is even trivial.
