We present an algorithm which can be used in numerical modelling of thermal diffusion problems -- in particular in the case of non-homogeneous domains. The method combines the finite element method (for the first domain) and the boundary element method (for the second domain). Additionally, we assume the heat flux continuity condition on the contact surface. This approach essentially decreases the number of unknown parameters (the number of equations in final resolving system).
