    In this article we study asymptotic closeness for solutions \(u^{(1)} (t,x)\) and \(u^{(2)} (t,x)\) to the Cauchy problem for the equations \((k = 1,2)\) \[ d^{(k)} (t,x,u,u_x) u_t = \sum^n_{i,j = 1} a_{ij}^{(k)} (t,x,u,u_x) u_{x_ix_j} \] in the halfspace \(\mathbb{R}_+^{n + 1} \equiv \{(t, x) : 0 \leq t < + \infty\), \(x \equiv (x_1, \ldots, x_n) \in \mathbb{R}^n\}\), \(n \geq 1\), with \(u_x \equiv (u_{ x_1}, \dots, u_{x_n})\) and initial data \(u(0,x) = u_0^{(k)} (x)\), \(k = 1,2\). The study is done under the assumption that certain limit means of differences of the corresponding coefficients and of initial data vanish. We base our study, first, on the reduction of the original problem to the problem of passage to the limit of a sequence of equations with weakly convergent coefficients and, second, on the application of the estimates due to \textit{S. N. Kruzhkov} [Tr. Mosk. Mat. Obsc. 16, 329-346 (1967; Zbl 0162.154)] (for \(n = 1)\) and \textit{N. V. Krylov} and \textit{M. V. Safonov} [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat., 44, No. 1, 161-175 (1980; Zbl 0439.35023)] (for \(n \geq 2)\).
