The main result of this paper is: Let \(K\) be a complete non archimedean valued field, algebraically closed, of characteristic zero and residue characteristic \(p\), then, the rigid-analytic-étale coverings of degree \(d\varphi:X\to A(r,R)\) of the annulus \(A(r,R)=\{z\in K/r\leq r\leq R\}\) \((r\) and \(R\) are in \(| K^*|)\) are Kummerian over \(A(r| p|^{-b},R| p|^ b)\) (here \(| p|=1\) if \(p=0)\), where \(b\) is a nonnegative integer depending only on \(d\) and \(p\). This theorem implies that any finite rigid-analytic étale covering of a punctured disk extends to a finite covering of the whole disk (which is a proof of a result first announced by O. Gabber in an I.H.E.S. seminar, 1982). The positive characteristic case is also studied: it is proved by a counterexample that the preceding problem admits here a negative answer, but, the theory works well when one adds the hypotheses that the coverings are Galois and of degree prime to the characteristic of the ground field \(K\). Finally, it is given a comparison theorem: the category of finite étale coverings (which are Galois and of degree prime to the characteristic \(p\) of \(K\), when \(p>0)\) of a scheme \(X\) over \(K\), locally of finite type, is equivalent with the same rigid-analytic category over the analytified \(X^{an}\) of \(X\).
