The paper presents a formula connecting two generalized notions of the mean curvature of the boundary of a convex body of Euclidean \(n\)-space. The two notions are the curvature measure by \textit{H. Federer} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 93, 418-491 (1959; Zbl 0089.384)] obtained from Steiner's formula, and the curvature measure by Allard being a vector measure obtained from the first variation of the area.
