[This paper is reviewed together with the one by Y.-H. Too (see below).] Both papers contain nearly identical results. Let \(p_ n\) be the \(n\)-th prime number. Then the authors give conditions for \(f\) such that \(\{f(p_ n)\}^ \infty_{n=0}\) is uniformly distributed. A typical example is \(f(x)=(\log x)^{1+\delta}\), \(\delta>0\). The proofs apply the Erdős-Turán inequality. But the Weyl criterion already does it because no quantitative results are claimed. The results repeat, correct, and complement former results due to the authors [Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 61, 83-86 (1985; Zbl 0573.10023)].
