This paper gives a detailed study on the finite amplitude, coupled shear- torsional motion of a circular disk supported between rubber spring cylinders. The springs are assumed to be made of an incompressible elastic material. Various types of constitutive equations, like the Mooney-Rivlin model and a quadratic material are considered. The stability properties of small oscillations superimposed on finite deformation are derived.
