The results in this paper have to do with character theory of groups of odd order. It turns out that some results can be shown that appear to have no analogues for solvable groups in general. Among others, it has been shown that (A) If \(\mathcal G\) is solvable of odd order and \(K \leq {\mathcal G}\) is a Hall \(\pi\)-subgroup of \(\mathcal G\), then \#\{irreducible constituents of \((1_ K)^{\mathcal G}\) of odd multiplicity in \((1_ K)^{\mathcal G}\} =\)\#\{conjugacy classes of \(\pi'\)-elements of \(\mathcal G\)\}. (C) Let \(\mathcal G\) and \(K\) be as in (A) and let \(\chi \in \text{Irr}(\mathcal G)\). Then \(((1_ K)^{\mathcal G},\chi)\) is odd if and only if \(\chi\in B_ \pi(\mathcal G)\). (E) Suppose \(\mathcal G\) is of odd order and let \(\chi \in \text{Irr}({\mathcal G})\) be primitive. Then for Hall-subgroups \(H\leq {\mathcal G}\) there is exactly one irreducible constituent of the restriction \(\chi_ H\) that occurs with odd multiplicity. Of course there are more items proved in this paper that are of independent interest.
