\textit{J.-L. Loday} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 24, 179-202 (1982; Zbl 0491.55004)] gave the foundation for algebraic models of \((n+1)\)-types called \(\text{cat}^ n\)-groups having very pleasant properties. A generalization of that result to other algebraic context may be useful for further development in both homotopy theory and homotopical algebra. Thus, the author provides full, detailed and purely algebraic proofs of Loday's main results and in the process he obtains stronger results which should prove of independent interest.
