Functions integrable on the unit sphere can be expanded in a series of surface spherical harmonics, and the Cesàro mean of a certain order of this harmonic series is a weighted sum of the terms of this series. It is well-known that for appropriate order the Cesàro means converge to the function, see e.g. \textit{C. D. Sogge} [Duke Math. J. 53, 43-65 (1986; Zbl 0636.42018)]. To complete these results, here strong summability and strong approximation by Cesàro means of order \(-1/2\) on sets of full measure is studied, and the convergence rate is given for functions of Riesz spaces on the unit sphere.
