On the equations of bioconvective flow (Q2367486)

The bioconvective flow in a culture fluid due to the concentration of moving microorganisms in the fluid is considered. The basic equations are the equations of motion of the fluid and the concentration of the microorganisms. It is shown that a solution of the equations of equilibrium with given initial concentration exists and this solution is discussed in general terms. It is also shown that a global weak solution of the time dependent problem exists and this is also discussed.
