      The problem of finding sufficient Tauberian conditions imposed on the finite order differences of the coefficients of a double trigonometric series, under which convergence in Pringsheim's sense follows from Cesàro summability was first studied by \textit{D. Waterman} and the reviewer [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 140, No. 1, 34-49 (1989; Zbl 0689.42013)]. Conditions (A1)--(A4) in the case of unrestricted convergence and (B1)-- (B4) in the case of restricted convergence are quite natural, but it would take too long to present them here.
