For the nonlinear delay differential equation \(\dot x(t)=\gamma x(t)+\gamma f(x(t-1))\), \(\gamma\in\mathbb{R}^ +\), the uniqueness of the solution is studied assuming that \(f\) is an odd function and \(f(A)=-A\) for some positive \(A\). The slowly oscillating periodic \((S)\) solutions are also discussed. The \(S\)-solutions with period \(2q\) and that of period \(2p\left({1\over q}+{1\over p}=1\right)\) are in \(1-1\) correspondence by \(\gamma=(q-1)\lambda\). The asymptotic behavior as \(\lambda\to\infty\) is discussed.
