A Gutzmer formula for the complexification of the noncompact Riemannian symmetric space \(X=G/K\), \(G\) a connected semisimple Lie group with the finite center and \(K\) its maximal compact subgroup is presented. Precisely, let \(\hat{g}\) be the Lie algebra of \(G\), \(\hat{g}=\hat{k}+\hat{p}\), be its Cartan decomposition, \(\hat{a}\subset \hat{p}\), the Cartan subspace, Let \(A\) be \(\exp \hat{a}\) and \(M\) the centralizer of \(A\) in \(K\). and let \(G=NAK\) be the Iwasawa decomposition of \(G\) associated with the positive root system of \((\hat{g}, \hat{a})\). Then, if \(k^{-1}g\in N\exp HK\), \(H\in\hat{a}\), \(H\) is denoted by \(\tilde{A}(x,b)\), \(x=gK\), \(b=kM\in B=K/M\). Then for a spherical function \(\phi_\lambda\), \(\phi_\lambda(\exp H)\) allows holomorphic prolongation to an invariant subdomain \(\Omega\) containing \(X\) of complexification of \(X\) (\textit{B. Krötz} and \textit{R. J. Stanton} [Ann. Math. (2) 159, No. 2, 641--724 (2004; Zbl 1053.22009)]). As for \(\Omega\), see also \textit{D. N. Akhiezer} and \textit{S. G. Gindikin} [Math. Ann. 286, No. 1--3, 1--12 (1990; Zbl 0681.32022)]. Then if the support of the Fourier transformation \(\hat{f}\) of a function \(f\) on \(X\) is compact, \(f\) allows holomorphic prolongation \(\tilde{f}\) on \(\Omega\) and the Gutzmer formula \(\int_G|\tilde{f}(g\cdot z)|^2dg=\int_{\hat{a}^\ast}\|\hat{f}(\lambda)\|^2\phi_\lambda(\exp 2iH)\frac{d\lambda}{|c(\lambda)|^2}\), holds (\S2, Th.1). Here \(c\) is the Harish-Chandra function. A Gutzmer formula for the complexification of a compact symmetric space is obtained in \textit{M. Lassalle} [J. Funct. Anal. 60, 309--340 (1985; Zbl 0578.32009)]. This is reviewed in \S1.
