Let \(S\) be a pre-Hilbert space and \(E(S)\) be the orthomodular poset of all splitting subspaces of \(S\), i.e., \(E(S)=\{M\subseteq S: M\oplus M^\perp= S\}\). The authors first extend Gleason's theorem to regular bounded charges on \(E(S)\). (``Regular'' means: inner regular with respect to finite-dimensional subspaces.) Then they study a Nikodým convergence theorem for regular charges on \(E(S)\): It is given a sufficient condition under which the pointwise limit of a sequence of regular charges on \(E(S)\) is regular. On the other hand it is shown -- using a construction of \textit{P. Pták} and \textit{H. Weber} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 129, No. 7, 2111--2117 (2001; Zbl 0968.03077)] -- that this is not true without any additional assumption. This solves Problem 4.3.15 of \textit{A. Dvurečenskij} [``Gleason's theorem and its application'' (1993; Zbl 0795.46045)]. Moreover, Cafiero's theorem for regular charges on \(E(S)\) is investigated.
