The authors introduce a \(Z\)-invariant Ising model on Penrose tiles constructed from a pentagrid, with spins on either the odd or even sublattice and show that the pair-correlation function for this model can be calculated exactly using the quadratic difference equations from their previous papers [\textit{H. Au-Yang} and \textit{J. H. H. Perk}, Int. J. Mod. Phys. B 16, No. 14--15, 2089--2095 (2002; Zbl 1073.82511), Physica A 321, No. 1--2, 81--89 (2003; Zbl 1037.82006)] It is shown that the \textbf{q}-dependent susceptibility of this model is a superposition of incommensurate everywhere-dense peaks, though not many peaks are visible at temperatures very far away from \(T_c.\) For \(T<T_c\) these peaks add a diffuse background to the Bragg peaks due to the spontaneous magnetization.
