Error estimators for advection-reaction-diffusion equations based on the solution of local problems (Q2370596)

The authors investigate the error estimators for advection reaction diffusion equations based on the solution of local problems. First, they discuss the advection diffusion reaction problem under consideration and the stabilized scheme. Then they recall the result of \textit{R. Araya, E. Beherens} and \textit{R. Rodriguez} [Appl. Numer. Math. 54, No. 3--4, 491--503 (2005; Zbl 1078.65101)], and derive a posteriori error estimators based on the solution of local problems and prove their equivalence with residual error estimators. Results of numerical tests to assess the performance of the estimators are given.
