The holomorphic solutions of the generalized Dhombres functional equation (Q2370742)

For given \(\varphi\) and unknown \(f\) the generalized Dhombres functional equation \(f (zf (z)) =\varphi (f (z))\) is well studied for real functions. Recently the authors started extensive investigations concerning this equation for holomorphic functions \(f\) and \(\varphi\). Here in particular it is assumed that \(\varphi\) is an entire function. Using results concerning locally analytic solutions the authors determine all holomorphic solutions \(f\) in a ``generic'' case for \(\varphi\). They also give criteria for the case that only constant solutions exist. However it seems that in the case \(\varphi = id\) some arguments have to be added.
