Restriction algebras of Hilbert modular forms (Q2370793)

Let \(\Gamma\subset \text{PSL}(2,\mathbb R)\) be a discrete subgroup of finite covolume such that the modular curve \({\mathcal H}/\Gamma\) is embedded into a Hilbert modular surface \({\mathcal H}^2/\Gamma_K\), where \(\Gamma_K\) is the Hilbert modular group associated to a real quadratic field \(K\). The author defines a sequence of restrictions \((\rho_n)_{n\geq 0}\) of Hilbert modular forms for \(\Gamma_K\) to modular forms for \(\Gamma\) and proves that \(\sum_{n\geq 0}\sum_{k_1,k_2\geq 0}\rho_n(M_{k_1,k_2}(\Gamma_K))\) is a subspace closed under Rankin-Cohen brackets of the space \(\bigoplus_{k\geq 0}M_k(\Gamma)\) of modular forms for \(\Gamma\), where \(M_{k_1,k_2}(\Gamma_K)\) is the space of Hilbert modular forms of weight \((k_1,k_2)\) for \(\Gamma_K\).
