The author discusses the question to which extent a 2-dimensional complex \(K^2\) embedded into a 3-dimensional manifold \(M^3\) determines its regular neighbourhood in \(M^3\). The results presented are based on the paper [\textit{J.~Glock} and \textit{C. I.~Hog-Angeloni}, J. Knot Theory Ramifications 14, No. 1, 9--20 (2005; Zbl 1071.57004)].
